"change is the only constant." it's one of those massively overused sayings that's overused because it just rings so true. fall is the time of year when that reality smacks you over the head.
the balmy green leaves you've grown accustomed to admiring start to turn, set ablaze by the changing of the seasons. the colors burn bright: fiery red, golden yellow, burnt orange...but after a period of total intensity, the leaves will fall off the trees. it's inevitable.
when you're going through a change in life, it's hard to take your eyes off it. it may suck you in. feel all-consuming. but like everything, for better or for worse, it will eventually pass.
we organize our days by the clock, our lives by the calendar. but some things we just can't control. whether you stand up or fall down, fight, endure, or watch from the sidelines, it will pass...but only after it changes you, hopefully for the better.
